Charles Duhigg

Charles Duhigg is an award-winning author and journalist based in Brooklyn, New York. Born in New Mexico in 1974, Duhigg received a bachelor’s degree in history from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard’s Business School. In 2006, Duhigg began working as a journalist for The New York Times, where he reported for a series called The iEconomy that won a Pulitzer Prize in 2013. Duhigg currently reports for The New Yorker.

In addition to his publications in The New Yorker, The New York Times, GQ, The Los Angeles Times, and other well-known news outlets, Duhigg has authored two books. In addition to 2012’s The Power of Habit, in 2016 Duhigg published Smarter Faster Better: The Secrets of Productivity in Life and Business. Both books have been broadly popular and landed on the New York Times bestseller list.

Duhigg is also a public speaker who presents at various institutions, including universities, news outlets, and corporate training events. In addition to his expertise in the science of habits and productivity, his other lectures cover topics including “The Secrets of Being Productive in Life and Business,” “Agile Management & Commitment Cultures,” and “Big Data.”
